Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information AZcount collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the AZcount website, applications, and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Ali Hasanov ("AZcount," "we," "us," or "our"). For any privacy question or request, contact support@azcount.app.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information — your name, email address, business name, and password (stored only as a secure one-way hash, never in plain text).
- Business and inventory data — recipes, ingredient costs, inventory counts, and settings you enter.
- Receipts — photos or files of receipts you upload, and the information read from them.
Information from connected services
- Square (and similar point-of-sale/payment platforms) — when you connect an account, we import data needed to run the Service, such as your catalog/menu, sales and order lines, discounts, payment and processing-fee amounts, and the names of team members recorded on transactions. We do not collect full customer payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and log data — basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies — we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to keep you signed in and to protect forms). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its features for you;
- To compute your costs, profit, inventory, and analytics;
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
- To communicate with you about your account, support, and important changes;
- To improve the Service and develop new features;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers ("subprocessors") that help us operate,
under agreements that limit their use of the data, including:
- Square — the source of connected sales and payment data;
- Render — cloud hosting and database;
- Anthropic — AI processing used to read uploaded receipts, where that feature is used;
- an email provider — to send account and support messages.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of AZcount, our users, or the public.
- Business transfer — if the Service is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any such change.
5. Where your data is stored and how we protect it
Your data is stored in a secured cloud database hosted by Render in the United States. We protect it with measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of sensitive access tokens, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address issues promptly.
6. How long we keep it
We keep Your Data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — you can view and update most of your information in the Service.
- Disconnect — you can disconnect a connected account (such as Square) at any time.
- Deletion and copies — you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing support@azcount.app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; contact us and we will honor rights that apply to you.
8. Team member and staff information
The Service may store the names of your team members (for example, from Square transactions or your staff-count setup) so you can see per-employee analytics. You are responsible for informing your staff about this use and for having any consent required by law. We process this information only to provide the Service to your business.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
The Service is operated from the United States and your data is processed and stored there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
